More Pattaya Bar Raids Reveal Nothing Of Interest

Pattaya police continued their relentless assault on Pattaya bars on Sunday but found nothing more than people drinking after hours.

Acting on complaints from local residents with regards to noise emitting from the Oskar Karaoke Bar, the authorities raided the venue. Inside were around forty members of staff, whose role was to sing and entertain their mainly female customer base, who were in the main, tomboys. Some Thai men were present at the time too.

They carried out a second raid on another bar owned by the same company, known as Small Room but again they found nothing other than people drinking out of hours. Everyone was of drinking age and there were no signs of drugs at either venue.

Charges were made concerning the serving of alcohol after the legal closing time and bosses were given a warning about future conduct.
