Pattaya A City With A Bright Future
Pattaya A City With A Bright Future
Pattaya has been growing in stature for many years, with an ever increasing amount of hotels, apartments, villas and condominiums becoming available for foreign investors or expats, who see the city as a place to retire to.
Over the years however, the infrastructure has failed to keep pace with expanding city but that could all be about to change. There is talk of "high Speed" trains linking the city to the capital Bangkok, which in turn could soon have a direct link to China.
The Royal Thai Navy are planning to spend around two billion baht on a new ferry port at Sattahip, which will include quays capable of accepting cruise liners.
There could also be another ferry service from Sattahip to Hua Hin to complement the recent introduction of the ferry service from Pattaya.
As part of the project, a new road link will be created to U-Tapao Airport in Rayong, which again could see an influx in tourists coming to Pattaya and surrounding areas.
The airport will have a new runway constructed over the next three years and a new terminal building has also been proposed.
There are rumours that the government could be about to change the nations laws on gambling and permit a casino to be built in Pattaya. This would be a huge attraction and sure to increase tourism.
Figures from the Tourist Authority of Thailand already suggest that we are seeing an increase in visitors from the world's most densely populate nation - China. Add gambling into the equation and the Chinese will flock here in their droves.
More tourists and expats of course means, the hotels will benefit. Real estate value will increase and of course there would be further development of the city.
And with new infrastructure and investment in businesses, such as casinos, come new jobs for the people of Thailand. Wealth breeds wealth as they say.
When you consider what Pattaya offers tourism at the moment, you have a wonderful holiday for both adults and families.
We have the best nightlife in Thailand, with the likes of Walking Street, LK Metro and Soi 6, where adults can have the time of their lives.
Pattaya has an abundance of family orientated locations such as "The Sanctuary of Truth", "The Floating Market", "Mini Siam", "Nong Nooch Botanical Gardens", "Art In Paradise", "Ripley's Believe It Or Not", "Wat Phra Khao Yai" and Pattaya Park to name but a few of the major attractions. Go-Karts, bungee jumps, swing shot, para-sailing and miles of golden sands all make Pattaya a family place to visit.
Pattaya has the best of both worlds - adult entertainment and family locations and with the aforementioned plans, it can only get better.
