Yes We Have Some Bananas

Locals in Pattaya, who are frustrated over the time it has taken to repair a road, have come up with a unique way to embarrass the local authorities.

Soi Siam Country Club has been in a state of repair for three years and despite locals pleading for an end to the roadworks, the construction work is still nowhere near completion.

So they decided to plant five banana plants in the soil where the road should be and sent the photos to a variety of media companies.

The photos of course soon found their way on to social media sites and the sarcasm soon followed.

One person said "We shall be able to enjoy the fruit from the banana plant long before the road is complete.

Sophon Cable, who are becoming renowned for shaming the council by displaying videos and images of problematic areas of Pattaya said "This comes from years of frustration from residents, whose lives have been blighted and businesses suffered due to a pipe laying project, which should have been completed a long time ago."

They also stated that the authorities were quick to remove the banana plants from the area.
