Sophon Cable Heap Pressure On Pattaya Council
Sophon Cable have increased the pressure on the Pattaya authorities by publishing images of the condition of the city's pavements.
The area in question is Phratamnak but if the truth be told, it could apply to anywhere in the city.
The image below depicts one of the many obstacles that pedestrians encounter when taking a simple walk around town, that is assuming that a footpath actually exists or has not been taken over by street vendors or motorbikes.
Sophon said the obstacles were a hazard to walkers and are now being used as litter bins, where people will discard bottles or other trash.
They then mention the spikes, which can be clearly seen sticking up from the ground, which if a child fell on, could cause severe injury.
No one appears to know what the structures are for but at a guess maybe it was for bus shelters or advertising boards that are no longer in use.
It doesn't matter where you walk in Pattaya, there are uneven slabs, holes on side walks that could break a person's leg if they fell into and numerous other obstructions to contend with.
Sophon Cable appear to have an agenda when it comes to improvements around the city and who can fault them? At present all we hear about is raids on bars or grannies playing cards when funds would be better spent improving the city and trying to attract more tourists, something that Pattaya is sadly lacking at present.
