Liverpool beat Hoffenheim of Germany in the final play-off match in the Champions League last night.
The English side travelled to Germany for the first leg and hit the net twice through Alexander-Arnold and an own goal from Nordtveit. With minutes remaining, the home side pulled one back courtesy of Uth, as the match ended 2-1 in Liverpool's favour.
This was Hoffenheim's first venture into European football, finishing fourth in the Bundesliga last season, which is not bad for a team who play in a small village close to the border with France.
This match is most certainly not over but you would have to say the "reds" are favourites to progress.
