Thailand's Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha is set to visit the White House in Washington DC in October.
It was revealed today that the PM would meet with President Donald Trump with trade and security being high on the agenda.
Recenty, the United States sent Secretary of State Rex Tillerson to visit Thailand, the highest ranking visitor from America since the military seized power in 2014.
Thai Foreign Minister Don Pramudwinai informed the press that the prime minister would discuss trade, investment and military security, amongst other items on the agenda with Mr Trump.
White House spokesman Steve Castonguay said "We look forward to the Prime Minister's visit to Washington DC. We continue to seek a mutually agreeable day for the prime minister's visit to the White House".
One of the items that is sure to crop up, will be North Korea and the recent tension between the USA and Kim Jong-un. President Trump is likely to request that Thailand and other Asian nations, do more to aid America by closing down links to North Korean companies, who could be operating in Thailand.
