No Fake Silk In This Pattaya Shop
Police in Pattaya raided a shop amidst claims that it was dealing in fake Thai silk.
Led by Chief Apichai Krobpetch, the raid occurred at a shop in the north of the city, which catered to Chinese tourists.
The happening commenced after stories of fake silk being sold appeared on online from various complainers but no fake silk or anything resembling counterfeit materials were located at World James Collection.
They found items that were clearly marked "25% Thai silk" but nothing that was deemed illegal.
But not to be undone, the cops left with a number of massage, foot and body creams and lotions, which did not meet the correct standards, such as where they were produced. It is also alleged that tax had not been paid on the items.
Despite the ongoings at the shop, no arrests were forthcoming as police left with a warning that they would be keeping an eye on the business.
