The King Donates 100 Million Baht To Hospital Fund
The King of Thailand has displayed immense generosity by donating the sum of 100 million baht to help fund the construction of a new medical centre at the Siriraj Hospital in Bangkok.
The King donated funds raised from the sale of the his diaries and drawings, towards financing the construction of the Navamindrapobitr 84th Anniversary Building.
His Royal Highness stated that he wanted to help the hospital's project and thank them for taking care of his late father King Bhumibol Adulyadej. The project was the last initiated by the former sovereign to improve facilities at the hospital.
The total cost is expected to be in the region of five billion baht and will host 355 beds for patients, 14 medical centres and an intensive care unit, over its 25 floors.
Anyone wishing to pledge funds to the project can visit the first floor of the hospital's Mahidol-Bumpen Building or monies can be transferred into the foundations bank account. Details are as follows:

The King also presented a video to Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha entitled "Carry on, preserve, develop and build happiness for the people".
It is hoped that by distributing the video it will help develop a nationwide understanding of the late King's principles.
