Taekwondo Championships To Be Held In Pattaya
A top Taekwondo championship is to he held in Pattaya.
The Pesuso Taekwondo Championships 2017 hopes to attract the very best from the sport from a variety of gyms across Thailand, in what is sure to be a wonderful event for martial arts competitors and fans.
The event takes place at "The Chilled" shopping centre on Soi Khao Noi (Boonsampan) on October 1st, 2017 and offers contenders 40,000 baht in prize money.
It is expected to attract as many as 200 competitors across the various age groups and abilities.
Proceeds from the event will go towards helping youngsters in Thailand and Pattaya's Hand to Hand Foundation, whose mission to help underprivileged children. Click here to view their website.
Pesuso specialise in providing training and courses for all age groups at their chain of gyms across Thailand. They encourage kids to enter the sport from an early age, teaching them discipline and self defence and for those who reach a certain level of expertise, they can enter competitions, to display their abilities.
Taekwondo was created in the 1940s and 1950s, incorporating the best elements of karate and kung-fu, with tradition Korean martial arts styles. It focuses on a variety of kicking techniques, which are delivered at pace, often at head height, via spinning and jumping kicks. The martial art is exciting to observe, so the competition could well be worth attending, especially as it is for a worthwhile charitable cause.
Although the competition has a number of sponsors on board, they would welcome any business who is interested in supporting the venture.
