Congestion Ahead For Central Pattaya Drivers
Cable works in Pattaya will commence net week, as workmen begin the process of placing electrical cables underground. The local authorities have warned that there could be delays for motorists in central Pattaya.
The work is expected to last around three months, from Tuesday.
During the process, there could also be disruption for local businesses in the area.
It is hoped that once the cables are underground, there will be a reduction in power cuts and of course, the city may benefit from the loss of unsightly and often dangerous overhead cables.
Over 1,100 metres of cable will be buried beneath the streets at a cost of 75 million baht.
