Military To Take Legal Action Against Drone Operators
One of the Thai Air Force's top brass has said his office will seek legal action after a drone operator flew over an Air Force airport.
Air Chief Marshal Chom Rungsawang said the person was in breach of the Confidential Information Act, after video footage appeared on social media, displaying an overhead view of a military facility, which he did not name.
A legal team have been instructed to seek litigation against the perpetrator.
He alluded to further breaches of the law, including a drone that was spotted flying over Don Mueang Airport at an altitude of around 3,000 feet, which is not only illegal but poses a serious threat to aircraft.
Drone operators need to be aware of the laws and punishments, not forgetting the possibly dangers that their actions could cause to aircraft, including loss of life, in the event of an accident.
