New Immigration Form To Be Issued From October 2017
A new immigration form will be issued from the 1st of October 2017. The changes to the form, were approved by the cabinet at the request of the Tourism and Sports Ministry in January.
The TM6 form is normally issued on aircraft when you are en-route to Thailand or at the airport. If you are already in Thailand, you have almost certainly filled the form in.
The changes are set to improve immigration procedures at airports and reduce tiresome waiting time after a long flight.
The new form is completed with arrival and departure details and has a barcode on it.
The card, once complete is handed in along with your passport at the immigration checkpoint.
Basically what the authorities wish to know is who you are, your passport and visa details and an address where you will be residing at during your visit to the country.
Other information collected is date of birth, sex, nationality and flight details.
The new version of the TM6 form is said to make life easier for all concerned. Source: Thai Visa Content: TPVS
