Thailand To Use Bollywood Stars To Attract More Indian Visitors

Thailand's Tourism Minister, Kobkarn Wattanavrangku has a bold plan to attract more Indian visitors to Thailand in a bid to increase tourists to the country. Bollywood. Yes that is correct. The plan is to hire Bollywood stars to promote the nation via a selection of videos, promoting popular attractions in Thailand.

The move follows on from AirAsia's introduction of a new route from Tiruchirappalli to Bangkok, which could possibly bring 20,000 new visitors per week.

There was no mention of what attractions were likely to be included in the promotional videos but let's hope that Pattaya is featured.
