Safety Taxi Campaign Underway In Thailand

Further moves to improve Thailand's taxi reputation, took a step in the right direction as the Royal Thai Police began promoting its "Safety Taxi" campaign.

The aim is to boost passenger confidence and improve the standards of the nations taxi services.

Led by Metropolitan Police Commissioner Pol Lt-General Sanit Mahathaworn, cabbies have been presented with certificates of safety for vehicles and drivers who participated in special training initiatives, were given "Saftey Taxi" stickers.

We all want to see improvement in our public transport and feel secure when we make use of taxis, which is the driving force behind this promotion.

Drivers were thanked for their attendance and cooperation by the commissioner.
