Underage Girls Sell Naked Images Of Themselves On Line

A report seen on Thai Rath suggests that there could be a problem with Thai society in shocking revelations that school girls are taking indecent images of themselves or utilising Facebook Live to display their naked bodies to men, who have paid to see them in a state of nudity.

The report also says that one school girl tried to hold an auction for a grope of her breasts as she hoped to earn 20,000 baht for the privilege.

The report claims there is an increasing number of young girls, wishing to use the internet to make a fast buck.

The story asks what has influenced these youngsters to bare all for money on social media. Why are teenagers taking this option and not finding regular jobs.

The answer to that one is simple. Regular jobs do not pay 20,000 baht for five minutes work. And what regular jobs are available for young school leavers that will offer them a decent living wage? One person suggested the craze is an act of prostitution that could lead towards a life of human trafficking.

One thing is certain. These young girls are vulnerable and could end up meeting the wrong man, which in turn could end in tragic circumstances.

One expert said that going on line to expose yourself naked for cash, is the modern way to make money from prostitution. Of course prostitution is the oldest profession known to mankind. Where there are people needing money, there will be others willing to pay for sexual services. It will never cease, simply because of those two facts.

Many people use dating apps to meet girls, rather than spend money in a bar. Girls advertise themselves as looking for a boyfriend, when in fact, they are searching for customers.

Prostitution between two consenting adults is one thing but when it comes to underage girls, it raises cause for concern, irrespective of where it is occurring.

Parents need to be vigilant and check on their children's activities. The last thing anyone wants to see, is young Thai girls ending up in trouble or getting hurt. It may seem like a good idea but men who seek underage girls are generally not to be associated with.

Of course, the sending of naked pictures across apps like Snapchat is not a new phenomenon, it has been going on for a long time around the world, so the problem is not unique to Thailand.
