Ninety-One Year Old Graduates From Thai University

A grandmother, who is 91-years-young has graduated from university.

Kim-lun Jinakul, will receive her Bachelor's degree at a ceremony at the Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University (STOU) on August 9th, with Thailand's King Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun presiding over her graduation.

The nonagenarian said "It is never too late to learn" and she proved her point in remarkable style.

Her philosophy is simple. "If you do not learn, do not read and know nothing, how can we communicate with others?

"If we read newspapers, listen to news broadcasts - we will be kept abreast of the goings on in the world, in our own country and in society in general" She informed reporters from Thai PBS as she rehearsed for her graduation ceremony.

The grand lady is looking forward to travelling with her family from Phayao Province to attend her big event.
