Two Dead As Plane Crash Lands On Beach
Two sunbathers have been killed on a Portuguese beach, when a small plane made an emergency landing.
Sun worshippers were enjoying the sun and waves on the busy beach at Caparica, some 20 miles south of Lisbon, when suddenly people fled in panic as the aircraft flew low over the sands. Beach goers scattered in all directions, fearing for their lives.
However, two victims, said to be a man of 56 and a young girl of 8, were killed in the incident.
The girl was with her parents who were both unhurt.
Witnesses told a local TV news team that the plane flew over the dead man's legs as he lay sunbathing on a towel.
The two occupants of the plane were said have survive and were taken away by police.
It is unclear at the moment, where the deceased people were from.
