Brave Officer Saves Man In Chiang Mai

The picture above captures the moment a brave police officer goes to the aid of man who was going to jump from a bridge, into the murky waters below, in what was considered to be a suicide attempt.

The Burmese man, in his 20s was contemplating leaping from the Nawarat Bridge in Chiang Mai, when the officer joined him on the outer ledge of the structure.

The officer, assisted by others, managed to calm the man down sufficiently before persuading him to scale the fencing back to safety.

Members of the public had alerted the police when they saw the gent looking perturbed as he prepared to jump.
