Malaysian Drowns Swimming In Pattaya

Thai Rath have reported that a 55-year-old Malaysian visitor to Pattaya has drowned whilst swimming alone.

Mohd Zaki Bin Abdul Hamid, had just completed a round of golf with friends, when he decided to go for a swim on his own.

Another tourist, spotted a hand sticking out of the water, some fifty metres offshore and went to assist. Emergency services were summoned but he was found to be dead.

The victims friends said they were on a golfing holiday and had just completed a good day on the golf course. Their friend said he was going for a swim on his own.

The body has been sent for autopsy.
