The dreadful flooding in the north and north eastern areas of Thailand has been well documented by the media of late. Storms have devastated the region, leaving scores of people homeless, with many businesses being affected as a result of the deluge.
But storm Sonca has caused other problems the police in Khon Kaen revealed. It appears 185 people have lost their motorbike of car number plates.
The plates have been found by the public and handed into police stations. Most were found in the Ban Pet area, which suffered badly during the floods.
At present, only 16 have been claimed, so if you were in the area during storm Sonca, it may be worth checking your vehicle for missing plates.
