Cheap Travel Insurance Could Be On The Way In Thailand
Could the Tourism Ministry offer cheap travel insurance to tourists upon arrival in the Kingdom? That is what Thailand's government has requested from them and other related agencies in a bid to boost tourism in the country.
The idea is certainly a step in the right direction, assuming prices are affordable and preferably less expensive than the cost of the insurance in the visitors' homeland. It could help not only increase holidaymakers in the nation but could provide new jobs in the process.
There would of course be no cost to the authorities as the person arriving in the country would simply fill in a form and make a payment, which would cover accidents or possibly even illness. In addition, how about offering expats an affordable plan too?
The country needs to endorse foreigners who live in Thailand, so that they will remain in the country for the foreseeable future, and as they say, every little bit helps.
Let's hope the concept gets off the ground.
