Tesla Release Their Lowest Priced EV To Date
Tesla, the electric car manufacturer, has released its latest Model 3 vehicle. The machine is its most affordable car to date.
Thirty people, most of which work for the company, took delivery of their new cars on Friday.
Prices for the latest in electric transport, commence at $35,000 (£26,650) and with costs like this, the company hope it will attract more people to the pollution free EVs.
Although the cost of the Model 3 is still more than rivals such as the Nissan Leaf or the Chevrolet Volt, Tesla are hopeful of increasing their share of the market.
With their previous EVs being more than double the cost of the Model 3, many people simply could not afford to purchase them but their latest offering changes this.
And with plans afoot to produce 5000 vehicles per week for the remainder of 2017, there will be no shortage of cars in showrooms. In fact, it is claimed that 500,000 have already placed orders for the new car.
