Goals from Martens (33) and Miedema (64) gave Holland's women a fine victory over Sweden in the European Championships on Saturday. The victory takes the host nation into the semi-final where the could face England should the lionesses see off France this evening.

In the other quarter-finals, firm favourites Germany play Denmark and Austria face Spain.

Lewis Hamilton has more or less ruled out winning the Hungarian Grand Prix after qualifying in fourth place. The Mercedes driver could lose ground to rival Sebastian Vettel of Ferrari who starts the race in pole position.

UFC star Jon "Bones" Jones regained the undisputed light-heavyweight title, when he disposed of champion Danuel Cormier.

The pair fought a close fight in Anaheim, trading blows as no man looked to show any sign of weakness. But Jones took the advantage in the third round, after a stunning head kick sent his opponent to the canvas. He seized the opportunity, landing an array of strikes on Cormier, before the referee halted the fight.

Two people have died and at least 17 injured at a football match in South Africa as a result of crush.

The incident occurred in Soweto at the local derby involving Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates in Johannesburg. Despite the incident, and resulting deaths, the match was allowed to progress at the 87,000 capacity ground.
