Eight Months Waiting On a Dangerous Hole Being Repaired In Pattaya
Market stall traders called in Sophon TV in an effort to force the authorities to repair a gaping hole on a pavement next to a market in Pattaya Klang.
The reason? Tourists keep falling down the hole and hurting themselves.
The cavity was described at a metre wide and the same in depth, which could easily be a leg breaker.
The owner of Popeye at Mae Wilai market, Pakachat Surin insisted she had complained about the hole before New Year but since her report went in, numerous tourists and locals have been injured, when they fell down the opening.
Eight months is a long time to wait to have a hole of this size repaired.
As a result of the long delays the lady called in Sophon TV to get publicity, after observing success stories on similar incidents around the city.
The TV station appealed to the Wateworks Authority to repair the hole as soon as possible.
Why do they not have inspectors, who go around checking roads and walkways for wear and tear, and having repairs carried out before accidents happen?
Answers on a postcard please!
