New Bond Movie Announced But Who Will Play 007?
James Bond will return to the big screen for the 25th time, probably in November 2019 but it is unclear who will portray the famous character.
Rumours are that the current 007, Daniel Craig is set to play the part for the fifth time since 2006.
Craig made his debut in the 2006 version of Casino Royal, taking over the role from Pierce Brosnan. He followed on with Quantum of Solace, Skyfall and Spectre.
The new movie will be written by Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, who have written a number of Bond movies, commencing with The World Is Not Enough and have been responsible for the last six of the secret agent films.
But what if Daniel Craig rejects the role for the latest adaptation of the character first introduced to cinemas back in 1962, when Dr No hit the screens featuring Sean Connery in the role of Bond, who would take on the role?
Is it time for Bond to become a woman, following in the footsteps of Doctor Who, who will be portrayed by Jodie Whittaker?
It is possibly but highly unlikely, for it would not fall in line with the Bond character.
Bond has been played by some fine actors over the years, commencing with Connery. David Niven and George Lazenby took on the role for the 1967 version of Casino Royal and On Her Majesty's Service respectively.
Then the late Roger Moore played the character in six consecutive films before Connery made a return for Never Say Never Again in 1983. Moore returned for the next movie, A View To A Kill, which was his final appearance as the much loved mythical agent.
Timothy Dalton followed Moore for two movies before Brosnan and finally Daniel Craig. But who will play the next Bond? Tell us who would you have play 007?
