McGregor V Mayweather Tickets Prices Go Through The Roof

Tickets for the Conor McGregor v Floyd Mayweather fight at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on August 26th are allegedly on sale for as much as $150,000 (£115,000).

The fight, billed as the biggest and undoubtedly the richest contest ever, appears to have no limit when it comes to what people are willing to spend to be there.

The arena is expected to be full to capacity with around 20,000 people in attendance. But who would pay the extraordinary price being touted around? Only the very rich obviously, for the rest of us, it will be observed on overpriced TV channels.

There is phenomenal interest in the bout as Mayweather comes out of retirement at the age of forty in the hope that he can win his 50th fight and maintain his undefeated record. McGregor goes into the fight, as a novice boxer, in what is his first professional boxing fight but at 29-years-old, he has age on his side.

The Irishman of course is no mug, being the reigning UFC Lightweight Champion, and former UFC Featherweight Champion. He knows how to handle himself in a ring situation but can he handle the skilful and experienced Mayweather in a boxing ring? Time will tell. Both fighters will earn in the region of $100m (£78.4m), which seems ridiculous for one fight. But the public want to see it and this of course drives the promoters to put the show on.

Who will win? Are you backing the UFC style of McGregor or the more elegant boxing style of Mayweather?
