Great-Granny Goes Skydiving In Canada At 88-Years-Old

An 88-year-old grandmother has completed a lifelong dream by going skydiving.

The self proclaimed "crazy granny" did the skydive as she works her way through her bucket list.

Maire (pronounced Myra) Hollo, leapt out of the small plane at the Parachute School of Toronto. Her jump was almost cancelled due to heavy rainfall but thankfully the skies cleared in time for her jump.

She said "I couldn't wait to get up there". The octogenarian displayed no fear as she edged out of the single engined plane to begin her tandem jump.

"It was wonderful and so peaceful up there" she told reporters from Inside Edition.

However, this is not the first daredevil stunt the elderly lady has undertaken. She recently hung over the edge of Toronto's CN Tower, at a height of over 500 metres.

Next on the bucket list is to drive a racing car and have Pitbull sing to her on her 90th birthday.

Despite her age, she is not the oldest person to complete a tandem skydive. That honour goes to Verdun Hayes, who was 101 years and 38 days old when he did the stunt earlier this year.
