China Bullet Trains Set To Travel At 350 KPH
Rail travellers in China are set to be transported between Beijing and Shanghai at an incredible 350 kph (217 mph) as speed limit restrictions are removed from the high speed trains.
The trains have had restrictions on speed applied since 2011, when 30 people died in a crash in Zhejiang Province.
However the state media reported on Thursday that the trains will once again be allowed to travel at 350 kph between the two cities from September, reducing the journey to 4.5 hours from the current 6 hours.
But things could get faster still, for China's latest bullet train can reach speeds of up to 400 kph.
China's high speed rail network is the envy of the world and of course there are plans to link Thailand to China by rail soon.
