Stevie Wonder Marries For Third Time
Superstar Stevie Wonder married his long term partner last week.
The music legend wed 42-year-old Tomeeka Bracy at lavish reception in Los Angeles. The event took place at the Hotel Bel-Air.
Rumours suggest that John Legend, Usher and Pharrell Williams performed for the newly weds at the ceremony.
Stevie, 67, has been married twice before. In 1970 he married Motown singer-songwriter Syreeta Wright. They divorced two years later in what was said to be an amicable parting.
in 2001 he wed fashion designer Kai Millard. They split in 2009 and divorced three years later. Soul singer Stevie has nine children from five different women. Yolanda Simmons, is the mother of his first born, Aisha Morris, taking the singers real surname. She was the inspiration for his hit single "Isn't She Lovely". As she became of age, she often joined him on stage as a backing singer and worked with him in the recording studio.
A son from his second marriage, Kailand, sometimes plays drums for Wonder when he tours.
All his children were at the wedding.
Stevie Wonder began his musical career at the age of 11, when he signed a recording contract with Tamla Motown. He recorded for them up until 2010.
Over the years he has released a string of hits from 1962. His first notable hit was "Uptight (Everything Is Alright)" in 1965, which he co-wrote with Sylvia Moy and Henry Cosby.
The hits continued with "For Once In My Life", "My Cherie Amour", "Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours", "You Are The Sunshine Of My Life", "Sir Duke" and "I Just Called To Say I Love You" to name but a few of his recordings.
He has released close to 100 singles, 23 studio albums and four live albums. We wish Stevie and his bride a very happy future.
