New Law Could Pave The Way For Transgenders To Change Their Sex On ID Cards
The other day we carried a story about a transgender Muay Thai boxer who despite having had the required operations, she could not change any legal documents stating her new gender. However, that could all be about to change. A new law has been proposed known as " The Gender Certification Act" which could make it possible for transgenders to alter their ID and passports to show their new gender.
The image below features one of Thailand's most beautiful transgender women Treechada “Poyd” Petcharat. Poyd became famous when she won Miss Tiffany in 2004, a world famous beauty contest for transwomen.
From there, she went on to work as an actress both in her native Thailand and Hong Kong. She has appeared in seven movies so far and is in big demand, mainly because of her looks.
The new law would be most welcome for Poyd and many others like her. Let's hope it is approved.
