Man Goes Into Rage Because He Wanted A Hamburger

A 20-year-old tourist from China took the huff after being denied a hamburger and attempted to kill himself.

He was with a party of tourists in the Chaiyapruek area of Pattaya when they stopped at a local restaurant to partake in some food.

The man's mother ordered a pizza for the boy, who went into a fit of rage, demanding that his mother should take him to McDonald's. When she refused to do so, the man, named as "Chee" dashed into the path of passing vehicles, in an attempt to kill himself.

Local law enforcement were summoned. They discovered the young man trembling on the road. They managed to calm him down but his composed state lasted only a few minutes before his anger came to the fore again, this time fighting and trying to take his own life again.

For thirty minutes the problem ensued before he appeared to faint, giving the officers present, the opportunity to load him into a police vehicle. He was taken to hospital to be checked over.

The original report in the Daily News called the man a "spoilt brat" but it would be fair to say there is a possibility the man suffers from some form of mental illness.

Certain clues such as "his mother ordering his food, without asking what he wanted" and "demanding to be taken to McDonald's" suggest he could be younger in the head than his years.

Let's hope he is OK.
