Low Tides Disrupt Ferry In Hua Hin
Thailand has endured substantial flooding due to incessant rain lately, so this next story falls under the category of unusual.
Tides in Hua Hin caused a number of problems as sea levels were reportedly at their lowest level for 18 years.
As a result the Hua Hin Ferry was delayed as there wasn't enough water for the vessel to operated in and many small boats were stranded, unable to negotiate the large rocks protruding from the seabed as they became visible for the first time in many years.
However, scientists said there was nothing to be concerned about and that the low tide was a natural occurrence. It was also confirmed that there was no risk to marine or coral life.
