Honest Taxi Driver Returns Wallet

It is always heartening when you hear a story that features law abiding people. In this instance it is another "honest cab driver" from Bangkok.

Taxi driver, Pongpisut Promkote discovered a wallet in his cab and immediately returned to Suvarnabhumi Airport to try and locate the owner. His last hire was a man heading to the UK.

He made contacted with a security guard, Mr Mongkol Chankaew, who took control of the situation. A quick look inside the wallet revealed the identity of its owner, Charles Mann from the UK.

Mongkol managed to find the traveller to return his wallet, with only five minutes to spare.

The wallet contained a variety of cards and around 10,000 baht in cash.

The report did not say if the driver was rewarded for his honesty.
