Cyclists Lift Pick-Up From Injured Girl

Members of the Udon Cyclists Association are being praised for their assistance at a road accident on Sunday.
A pick-up and a motorcyclist had collided on the main road between Udon Thani and Khon Kaen, which resulted in a young woman being trapped beneath the pick-up.
The cyclists united in a show of strength as they lifted the vehicle off the girl and pulled her free.
More luck ensued as one of the cyclists was a medic and swiftly provided first aid as other members directed traffic before an ambulance arrived and transferred the stricken girl to hospital.
Although there were no names provided or details of injuries received as a result of the accident, both driver and passenger survived their ordeal.
Pornthep Saksujarit, President of the Udon Cyclists Association said the motorcyclists were not wearing helmets and urged that all bike riders protect themselves by wearing protective headgear.
