OJ Simpson, the former US football player and actor, is to be released from prison in October, having served nine years in Jail. He was convicted for his part in a robbery at a Las Vegas hotel, along with five others as he confronted sports memorabilia collectors.
He believed they had items belonging to him from his football career.
The incident led to his imprisonment following charges of armed robbery and assault with a deadly weapon in 2008.
Previously he had been acquitted of murdering his ex-wife, Nicole Brown and her friend Ron Goldman in 1995, however polls show that most US citizens believe he was guilty of their murders.
Simpson, 70, was granted parole as he attended a meeting via a video link from a Nevada prison.
OJ will be probably be moved to a low security prison, where he will be prepared for release. He is expected to be freed in October.
