Boys Cycle 100 Kilometre To See Father In Prison But Are Turned Away

Two young boys cycled fifty kilometres from their homes in Ban Non Khoon to a prison where there father was being held, so they could visit him.

Unfortunately, it was not a designated visiting day, resulting the boys being turned away.

A prison officer at the jail in Sisaket, in south east Thailand, told how the two youngsters cycled the long journey so they could see their father. Despite not being allowed to see him, they were delighted to discover his release date.

An official at the prison permitted them to see a photo of their dad but that was as far as they got.

Their mother was working in Bangkok so they were being looked after by their grandmother but obviously they miss their father a great deal, to take on such an arduous journey.

The kind-hearted officer gave the boys 100 baht each, so they could buy some food and filled their water bottles for them, before they set off on the return journey.

There was no mention of the boys names, why the father was in jail or information regarding his release in the report. Maybe on visiting day, an adult could drive the lads to see their dad!
