Airport At Hua Hin Could Soon Be Taking International Flights
Hua Hin is set to get another boost to its economy.
It has been announced that international flights could be heading to the area as early as the end of 2017, as Air Asia want to commence flights to and from Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia.
Earlier in 2017, the Pattaya - Hua Hin Ferry began daily excursions between the two towns, saving hours on the journey by road or rail, giving both places a boost in tourism.
But if the Air Asia plans gets approved by the Airport Authority, it could open the door for flights from other nations.
It is believed that the Airline have requested the airport forgo all landing fees and rental charges during the start up period, to help the company get their plans underway. The airport at Hua Hin, requires no additional building work, which permits operations to begin as soon as the authorities give a green light to the plan. But jobs will be created as the airport at present, has no immigration or customs control, which of course is another benefit to the community. Hotels, bars, taxis, restaurants could all see an increase in trade if the airport attracts flights from around Asia.
