Papers Being Prepared To Extradite Red Bull Heir
The search for missing fugitive Vorayuth Yoovidhya, heir to the Red Bull fortune, has often brought criticism of the Thai government, having failed to bring him to justice on numerous occasions.
Vorayuth, is wanted in connection with the death of a police officer five years ago but despite freely leaving Thailand and being photographed around the world, he has yet to be brought to justice.
The latest breaking story is that police are in the process of translating documents to have him extradited so he can face the charges against him, although it is unclear as to where in the world he is.
It has also been revealed that if he can avoid being caught for 47 more days, the authorities will be unable to prosecute him. The incident occurred in September 2012, meaning the police have until September 3rd to get their man.
The culprit hit a motorcycle driven by traffic policeman Wichian Klanprasert, resulting in his death. He was driving a 32 million baht Ferrari at the time, which dragged the victim along a Bangkok street, before speeding away.
Cops followed a trail of brake fluid to the gates of the home of one of Thailand's richest families, where they found the Ferrari.
However, five years after the incident, the heir to the Red Bull fortune, has yet to meet prosecutors.
As a result, many claim it is an example of the privileges enjoyed by Thailand's upper class.
Will they manage to extradite him from wherever he is before the deadline?
