Federer Wins Record Eighth Wimbledon Title
Roger Federer beat Marin Cilic in straight sets 6-3, 6-1, 6-4 to take victory over the Croatian. Cilic struggled for most of the match, complaining of a blister on his foot. The number seven seed broke down in tears as he fell 3-0 behind in the second set. He was consoled by his doctor, along with a referee and supervisor as he received treatment to his foot.
Federer, at 35 years and 11 months, is the oldest man to win a Wimbledon singles tournament and a cool 2.2 million pounds for his efforts.
