Brit Will Spend Three Years In Cambodian Hell Hole Jail
A British man will spend the next three years in a Cambodian hell hole prison, after he was found guilt of drug charges.
Andrew Sloman, 51, from Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire and his Cambodian girlfriend, Chang Sreypheak, 28, were found guilty of being in possession of "Crystal Meth" also known as Ice.
The woman was initially found to be in possession of 1.4 grams of Ice in October 2016, which led the police to their hotel where a further 40 grams was discovered.
The Brit denied the charges at the court in Phnom Penh but they found the pair guilty, jailing them for three years. They had spent eight months awaiting trial.
The court ruled that Sloman was guilty of storing 40 grams of Crystal Meth, with a view of trading or supplying the drug.
Sreypheak had been on her way to sell her illicit items for $55, when police caught her.
Claims by Sloman that the drugs were for personal use were reject by the court.
