Muguruza Beats Williams To Win Wimbledon

Venus Williams has failed in her bid to become the oldest ever Wimbledon ladies singles winner as she lost to Spanish girl Garbine Muguruza.

Muguruza won the match in straight sets 7-5, 6-0.

The new Wimbledon champion collapsed at the end of the match, having taken the final set with ease.

The 23-year-old takes home a purse of £2.2 million.

The champ said "Two years ago I lost in the final to Serena Williams and she told me one day I would win, so here I am!"
