Delays For Two Weeks On Sukhumvit Road, Pattaya

Roadworks have began on Sukhumvit Road, Pattaya, which could cause delays for drivers.

The stretch of road, which is close to the entrance to the Redemptorist Vocational School For The Disabled, is suffering from water bubbling to the surface, with residents claiming the ground is always wet.

The Department of Rural Roads say the work will take around two weeks to complete.

A spokesperson said the problem was not related to the recently completed Pattaya Tunnel work but was caused due to the city being close to sea-level. As water seeps to the surface, it has resulted in subsidence of this area of Sukhumvit.
