Murray Crashes Out of Wimbledon
Defending Wimbledon champion, Andy Murray, has crashed out of the tournament at the quarter-final stages over five sets at the hands of Sam Querrey.
American Querrey, 29, won 3-6, 6-4, 6-7, 6-1, 6-1 as Murray struggled towards the end of the match.
Querrey, who is ranked 24th in the world was delighted to be in the semi-finals taking the scalp of the world's number one, Murray.
Murray has suffered from a hip injury, that had hampered his build up to defending his title. He was taking two ice baths per day hoping that it would assist in easing the pain.
In the other quarter-final matches Roger Federer defeated Milos Raonic 6-4, 6-2, 7-6.
Novak Djokovic had to retire against Tomas Berdych, due to an elbow injury. The 30-year-old Serbian was one down and trailing 2-0 in the second when he retired from the match.
Croatian Marin Čilić beat Luxembourg's Gilles Müller, over five sets to claim his place in the semi-finals.
