McGregor Says Mayweather Will Fall Inside Four Rounds
The big fight between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather on August 26th, grows ever closer as the pair faced up to each other in their first efforts at promoting the fight. Conor wearing a pinstripe suit looked smart until you looked closer, which reveals that the stripes have actual text reading "F*ck Off". The Irishman joked about his flamboyant sense of fashion during the press conference, making reference to his suit.
He also promised to knock Mayweather out inside four rounds as they traded verbal blows at their Los Angeles meeting.
Conor defiantly told journalists that Mayweather has never experienced the movement, power and ferociousness that he will bring to the ring.
Floyd assured McGregor he would be leaving the ring on his back.
Amazingly, 28-year-old McGregor is going up against one of the all time greats of boxing, having never fought in a professional boxing bout before. However, he is confident that his 40-year-old opponent will not be able to withstand what he will bring to the ring.
"His little legs, little core, little head, I'm going to knock him out inside four rounds, mark my words," said McGregor. "I'm a young, confident, happy man that has worked extremely hard for this."
McGregor, a mixed martial arts fighter, is the current UFC Lightweight Champion of the world.
The fight has certainly generated a lot of interest around the globe, despite ridiculous prices for pay-per-view being touted. Who will win? If it were an MMA fight, there is no doubt McGregor would win hands down but in a boxing contest, it is far more difficult to predict. The Irishman has age on his side but Mayweather has a wealth of experience to call upon. We will discover the victor on August 26th, 2017.
