Snakes In The Pan

A Thai lady, has approached the media to make complaints about her extravagant housing estate in Bangkok.

The move comes as she was bitten on the ass by a large python when she was sitting on her toilet.

The unfortunate victim had been sitting on the toilet pan, when she felt a surge of pain in her butt. She rose swiftly from the throne, and discovered the head of the python sticking out of the water.

She slammed the toilet seat down, and drove to hospital, with blood oozing from the wound, only to discover that doctor's were reluctant to treat her with antivenom, because the snake had not been identified. With the help of the estate security guard, it was confirmed to be a python.

The woman was treated with antibiotics to prevent the wound becoming infected. Phanarat Chaiboon, 42, a food company executive, had to spend a night in hospital and meet a hospital bill for 18,000 baht, following her experience.

Now we have read of such stories previously and most of us have a chuckle when we hear of these incidents. But in Phanarat's case, this scenario is not unique.

The woman said her 15-year-old daughter had left home to live with relatives when another, larger python appeared in the loo, a few days later. Possibly looking for its mate!

The victim claims that there is a cavity under the house, which is infested with snakes and the estate owners should do something about it.
