Thailand Lose Their Opening Match At Grand Prix 2017
Thailand lost an exciting match against Japan at the 2017 World Grand Prix volleyball competition, currently being held in Apeldoorn in Holland on Friday.
The girls lost narrowly in a five set thriller with a scoreline of 3-2.
The scores were 19-25. 25-18. 14-25, 25-22 and 9-15.
The other match in the pool saw the host nation defeat the Dominican Republic 3-0 in sets.
Thailand, who are ranked number 14 in the world, will face Holland today (Saturday) and the Dominican Republic on Sunday.
Hopefully Thailand can bounce back and claim two wins.
The world ranked number one and two nations are both in the same pool. USA beat Russia by three sets to two and favourites China saw off Italy in a 3-0 victory.
