Thirty-Four Bikers Arrested In Pattaya

Police in Pattaya arrested 34 bikers on Friday morning, following complaints from residents.
The riders were mainly from the Middle Eastern persuasion and were rounded up for gathering and causing a public nuisance.
Some 80 officers, accompanied by soldiers other officials, surrounded the group near Soi Yen Sabai in South Pattaya around 04:00.
Residents had complained about the noise being created by the foreigners and some witnesses claimed they were revving engines and preparing to race their bikes.
Despite the authorities descending en-mass, some of the riders escaped.
Many were found to be lacking driving licences and were charged accordingly. Those with no passports were handed over to immigration police.
