Samsung Record Record Profits

Electronics giant Samsung, have announced their biggest quarterly profits in their history, courtesy of global demand for memory chips.

The company, based in South Korea, boasted operating profits of £9.3 billion for the last three months.

The figures suggest that the company has more than recovered from its almost ruinous Galaxy Note 7 recall, caused by a faulty battery, which led many of the phones to catch fire.

However, Samsung's new Galaxy 8, appears to be selling well, bolstering profits for the company in 2017.

Recently they utilised parts from the Note 7 phones in a new mobile, released for the South Korean market, making the most of a bad situation.

Reports suggest that the Asian company are about to overtake Intel as the world's largest chip manufacturer, having outsold Intel over the previous 12 months.

It appears that all is going extremely well this year for the tech giants.
